Hi Everyone,

This has been a busy time for everyone so our November meeting will take place online. We will be joined by two incredible keynotes. Jake Miller and Michael Hernandez. Check out the Meeting Agenda.

We are thrilled to announce that at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, November 15th, Jake Miller will be leading a session entitled “Educational Duct Tape”. This session will help educators overcome this paradox and choose a technology or two to add to their toolbox.  Learn how Jake’s silly metaphor can be used as an #edtech integration mindset in your classroom, tomorrow! This is a must attend session for technology leaders and classroom teachers.

Jake Miller is a frequent conference speaker, author, and host of the #EduDuctTape Podcast which focuses on viewing #edtech as a tool used to meet goals, address learning standards, and solve problems in the classroom, much as duct tape is used as a tool that solves a plethora of problems in our lives.

Next, Michael Hernandez is an award-winning cinema and journalism teacher in Los Angeles whose work focuses on digital storytelling, media literacy and social justice. As an author, keynote speaker and consultant, he helps educators empower students to find passion and purpose in their learning so they can make a positive impact in their communities. Michael is the host of the #Change the Narrative Podcast and shares ebooks as well as a monthly newsletter.

This opportunity will be open to all AATE members. AATE members are encouraged to forward this email to all teachers in their respective schools. Interested participants will need to register for this event so that we can send the secure login link and password to those planning to attend.

Hope to see you soon,

Connie
